On Tuesday 5th June, the children of Winstanley performed at a celebratory event to launch Space to Re:Place, an exhibition of work from 10 schools around Milton Keynes. Winstanley performed a section of their original dance, choreographed by Urja ( creator and director of Pagrev dance) in a very unique setting - in front of Milton Keynes Theatre.Their journey and choreography is part of an installation inside the gallery which everyone is invited to visit.
Winstanley Class Assembly
On Thursday 10th May it was Winstanley's Class Assembly. Thank you to all the family that arrived to watch. The children did a wonderful job and everyone thoroughly enjoyed it.
Mayer Class Assembly
On Thursday 3rd May it was Mayer Class' Assembly. Thank you to all the friends and family of Mayer class who came along to watch. Congratulations to Mayer class; you did a wonderful job.
This week Winstanley Class have taken part in an art project this week, in association with MK Gallery. They discussed what their school space means to them and represented this through the medium of dance. Urja Thakore from the Pagrav Dance Company has been working with the children to teach them the elements of classical Indian dance.The class thoroughly enjoyed themselves, as displayed in the photos below.
Friday 2nd February - This week, Mayer class worked in pairs to create a 4cm squared sculpture that would remain solid at 100 degrees centigrade. The successful sculpture entries will be launched into a sub-orbital space on board a rocket which is part of NASA telescope mission. Although all participants in Mayer class used their initiative to create an innovative design, Harley’s was chosen based on its durability and repeatability. Well done Mayer class and a particular well done to Harley!
